Defending champions India will face the challenge of Maldives and Bhutan in the group stages of the SAFF U-20 Championship 2024.

In the draw ceremony held at the sidelines of the SAFF Congress 2024, SAFF Vice President Sundar Narshing Joshi and SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Huq drew India in Group B alongside Maldives and Bhutan.

Host Nepal are in Group A with Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 16-28 in Kathmandu.

India had defeated Bangladesh 5-2 in the finals played at the Kalinga Stadium.
